Klobuchar Campaign Press Release - Iowa Representative Ruth Ann Gaines Endorses Amy Klobuchar for President

DES MOINES, IA — Today, Iowa State Representative Ruth Ann Gaines (HD-32) announced her endorsement of U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar for President. Representative Gaines represents the Des Moines area. She is Senator Klobuchar's first legislative endorsement in Iowa.

"Senator Klobuchar's commitment to addressing and prioritizing mental health is very personal to me," said Iowa Representative Ruth Ann Gaines. "As a single mother whose son has multiple disabilities, I value Klobuchar's work in lifting the stigma attached to mental health disorders and her efforts to ensure that all of us have the chance to be 'pursued by grace.'
